Since his graduation and obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Tripoli, he worked to complete his educational and academic path, starting his job as a teaching assistant at the college from which he graduated (Faculty of Economics and Political Science) at the University of Tripoli.
He performed his duties in various academic capacities as a supervisor of graduation projects, a reference for academic promotion research, and contributed to examination committees for the success of the educational process in the college. He did not hold any administrative positions within the university or college.
Careers
Suleiman Al-Sokouh obtained the position of teaching assistant in the Department of Economics in 1997. He rose through academic and administrative promotions, and completed his graduate studies inside and outside Libya.
He is now working as a faculty member with the rank of assistant professor. During this period of academic and academic degrees, he worked on loan to a number of state institutions.
Research Interests
Dr. Suleiman Al-Sakouh presented a group of research in the field of specialization (international economics). He also contributed to the preparation of joint research with other researchers in this field. His research was published in scientific journals in Libya and Egypt.
He was interested in measuring growth in Libya and the impact of some economic variables on it. He also contributed to providing economic consultations to some financial institutions while working there as a secondment.
External Activities
He worked as an economic advisor in the Real Estate Investment Company (a company wholly owned by government commercial banks) 2013-2022, which operated under the law of the Central Bank of Libya on the one hand and the commercial law on the other hand.
He also worked as a guest economic advisor at the Center for Future Studies (Ministry of Planning).
-Member of the Board of Directors of the Libyan-Malaysian Roads Company. He was an expert in Libyan commercial law from 2014 to 2015. He also worked on loan to the finance sector in 2006.
