He currently works as a faculty member in the Department of Economics. He was appointed as the coordinator of studies and examinations in the Department of Economics in 2007. He was appointed as the coordinator of distance education in the department in 2009. He was appointed as the head of the Department of Economics in 2013 and also in 2022. He is currently a member of the Scientific Committee for Postgraduate Studies in the department.

He did not work in any activity outside of teaching, and he worked as a lecturer with colleges and institutes inside Libya as a collaborator inside Libya, including the Faculty of Economics, Zawia University, the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Tripoli, and the National Institute of Administration, Tripoli.
