Mohamad Abaid is currently a professor of economics in the Department of Economics at the University of Tripoli, where he has been teaching students at the bachelor’s degree level since 04/26/2006. The tasks he performs as a faculty member with the rank of assistant professor include teaching since 01/15/2021 and directing students in their research, as well as academic supervision of projects. Over the years, he has taught undergraduate courses including: Principles of Economics I and II, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Advanced Microeconomics, Mathematical Economics, and Econometrics. He also held the position of coordinator of the study and examinations department in the economics department, then director of the study and examinations office for postgraduate studies in the college, then head of the general subjects department in the college, and finally head of the research, consulting and training department until now.

Research Interests

Mohamad Abaid’s interest in research fields focuses on everything related to environmental economics and topics related to international economics, especially those related to foreign direct investment and the blue economy, as well as research fields that are concerned with econometrics and use advanced econometric models.

External Activities

Muhamad Abaid gave a training course on economic feasibility studies outside the university to some public entities.
