Mr. TAREQ ALARBI was assigned the duties of dean of faculty of Economics and Political Science as well as  is one of the staff members at the department of economies at faculty of economics and political sciences . He is working as a professor since 01-11-2020. He teaches several subjects in his major and has several publications in the field of his interest.

Careers

Tariq Al-Arabi began his professional career as a teaching assistant in the Department of Economics from 01/7/1997 to become a faculty member staff  from 2000 . He now holds the position of Dean of faculty of Economics and Political Science. He was also assigned to the Office of Faculty Affairs at the faculty for a period of approximately ten years.  He was assigned to head the Department of Statistics and Econometrics at the faculty for two years. He was also assigned the position of graduate studies coordinator and head of the graduate studies committee in the faculty's Department of Economics. He was also assigned the post of graduate studies coordinator in the Department of Statistics and Econometrics at the faculty of Economics, University of Tripoli, and a member of many committees at the faculty level and at the university level.

Research Interests

Mr. Tariq Al-Arabi’s research interests include many published researches that address local and regional economic issues, as most of his research interests focus on economic policies and economic growth.

External Activities

 Mr. Tariq Al-Arabi was assigned to many scientific and research committees outside the university, as he was appointed as a member of the committee for monitoring and evaluating economic research at the Libyan Authority for Research, Science and Technology (National Authority for Scientific Research) at the level of the Libyan state during the period (2012-2018) and as a member of the technical work team to establish the institute.  The National Center for Local Administration, affiliated with the Ministry of Local Government, in 2021. He was also appointed to sit on the master’s and doctoral degree discussion committees at the Libyan Academy and the University of Sirte, as well as on advisory committees in other government universities.
