Roles

Abdul Azim Ibrahim Al-Tahir Tabataba is a faculty member in the Department of Islamic Studies at the College of Education, Qasr Bin Ghashir. He has been working at the University of Tripoli since 2009, initially as an assistant lecturer and later as a lecturer since April 1, 2020.

Mr. Tabataba has a range of scientific activities in his area of specialization. His first administrative role was as the coordinator of the Study and Examinations Department at the College of Education in the Awata region, Libya, after which he became the head of the Islamic Studies Department at the College of Education, Qasr Bin Ghashir.

He was supported by the General Authority of Endowments to help establish the Ali bin Ziyad Al-Tarabulsi Higher Institute for Imamate, Rhetoric, and the Sciences of the Book and Sunnah, where he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors. Additionally, he served as the director of the intermediate institutes for Islamic studies across Libya.

Mr. Tabataba also held the position of Director of the Department of Cultural and Advocacy Affairs at the General Authority for Endowments and Islamic Affairs and was the head of the Haseen Program to Combat Witchcraft and Sorcery. He was a member of the Scientific Committee for the Second Imam Malik Conference, organized by the General Authority for Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

He has taught numerous courses in his field and supervised several graduate research projects. With over thirty years of experience, he is regarded as an expert in teaching the Qur'an, having worked in Qur'an memorization centers, and he serves as a preacher with the General Authority of Endowments. He is actively involved in advocacy and conducts scientific lessons in various mosques.
