MSc & BSc in Botany, University of Tripoli. Assistant Lecturer with teaching experience at Zintan University (2020–2022 collaborator; 2023–present faculty) and Tripoli University. Taught courses in Phycology, Microbiology, Bacteriology, General & Economic Botany, and Tissue Culture. Served as Quality Assurance Coordinator and undergraduate research supervisor.

Careers

Started my career in public education as a high school Biology teacher in Tripoli (2003–2023). Joined the Department of Botany at Zintan University as a faculty member in 2023. In 2026, transitioned to the University of Tripoli, where I currently serve as a faculty member in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Education, Janzour.

Research Interests

My research interests focus on phycology and marine ecology, specifically the extraction of bioactive compounds from algae and evaluating their antibacterial and antifungal activities. Additionally, I am interested in marine biodiversity, algal biotechnology, and ecologically and economically valuable marine resources, with an emphasis on their potential applications in the pharmaceutical, food, and environmental sectors.

External Activities

Actively engaged in community outreach and environmental awareness on marine conservation and biodiversity. Delivered lectures and workshops on the role of marine ecosystems in sustainable development, highlighting the impacts and mitigation of marine pollution. Additionally, contributed scientific presentations on leveraging marine resources and algae as promising economic drivers while supporting research in the field.
