Hanan Mohamed Al-Rqiq currently serves as the Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tripoli. She is a faculty member in the department and holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor. Throughout her academic career, she has undertaken several academic and administrative responsibilities, including serving as the Department Academic Program Coordinator from 2019 to 2024, supervising graduation projects, and participating in scientific, academic, quality assurance, and program development committees. She has contributed to organizing and managing several academic and professional events, including chairing the Preparatory Committee of the symposium “Together Towards Heritage Preservation and Strengthening Identity” in 2026, and leading the Higher Supervisory Committee for the World Architecture Day Celebration 2024. She also contributed to the publication of the first issue of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning magazine “Zawaya Architecturya”, in addition to supporting community service initiatives, workshops, and activities related to architectural education and urban heritage preservation. Ms. HananEL-Rqeq Is interested in scientific research fields related to modern technology, design, and energy. Her research focuses on computer applications in architecture and service technology, a focus she has pursued since preparing her master's thesis in early 2009, titled *intelligent Buildings... Towards an intelligent Building in Libya*. This was followed by other research publications in the same field. Additionally, she is interested in studying intangible heritage and exploring critical readings in art and architecture.External Activities
• Delivering lectures and evaluating graduation projects in architecture. • Conducting research in the field of traditional attire. • Collaborating with the Heritage Cities Committee and contributing to the design of the entrances of some ancient cities.
