Roles
· In June 2022, I became a part-time academic staff member at Tripoli University, Libya, the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning.
· I have participated in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in relation to architecture and urban design.
· During this time, I have contributed to delivering studio design of architecture courses that cover a wide range of building typologies.
· With the cooperation of other members of staff, I engaged in developing the curriculum of subjects’ materials that correspond to the contemporary social, cultural and economic requirements.
Careers
· My research focused on two main areas; urban morphology and street network analysis, which generally include street front quality, constitutedness (the interaction between the building and the street), and street life based on street centrality. The research correlates physical elements of urban form with social activities.
· The study applied four sets of indicators: understanding the physical structure of a street network and urban blocks, quantifying the street front quality, interpreting the degree of interaction between the streetscape and social life, and measuring social life along different streets according to street centrality.
· I developed a piece of particular knowledge in understanding the relationship between the architectural vocabularies of the streetscape and their effects on street
life, which are essential elements of producing a resilient and sustainable urban form.

External Activities
· I participated in preparing and producing two volumes of Qatar Urban Design Compendium, which are still under the procedures of being approved from government organisations in Qatar.
· As part of a committee from the Ministry of Housing and Construction, we took the initiative to establish the Building Coding Board which regulates building standards, specifications, and requirements for different building typologies.
