Dr. Ashraf Alzawi is a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. Dr. Ashraf Alzawi has been working at the University of Tripoli as a lecturer since March 2004 and has many scientific publications in his field of specialization, geotechnical and structural engineering. He has a diverse work experience in structural and geotechnical engineering both practically and academically. His experience ranges from finite element analysis and numerical modelling, foundations design, structural dynamics, soil-structure interaction, to research and development as well as teaching.
Also he has an extensive experience in structural and geotechnical design of deep foundations involving helical, driven, CFA and CIP piles, along with associated pile caps and steel grillages for a variety of projects that span over a diverse range of industries which include but not limited to: Electrical Utility; Oil and Gas; Commercial and Residential; Alternative Energy (Solar and Wind); and Municipal Infrastructures. Over the past decades, he is specialized in designing deep foundations and structures and foundations supporting vibrating machinery.
