I was a faculty member for CE424, where I taught this course, which included how to select a dam site, the factors affecting it, and the types of dams such as gravity, earth, and pile dams, and the forces affecting them from water pressure, uplift pressure, wind, and ice, and the analysis of these forces and their effect on the stability of the dam, as well as leakage through earth dams and the path of this leakage in the presence of a filter or not, using mathematical methods and numerical models, as well as finding and analyzing the uplift forces and determining the thickness of the weirs necessary to resist the uplift forces and the spillways that are created to protect the dam from collapse, their types and design, types of culverts, types of flow through culverts, and designing the section of the culvert necessary to pass the discharges through the dams that cut the roads to protect the roads from collapse and protect road users.

Research Interests

Research areas are mostly focused on groundwater hydrology, evaporation interference, well design, hydrological studies of valleys and waterways, stability of earth dams, and how to maintain earth and concrete dams.
