Dr Mawaheb Derdar is one of the staff members at the department of Chemical Engineering. She is working as a since 15-01-2020 as Associated Professor. She teaches several subjects in her major such as Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics, Unit operation in chemical engineering, and Mass transfer and has several publications in the field of her interest. Careers

Dr. Mawaheb Derdar began her career as a teacher at Al-Nasr Secondary School, where she worked from October 15, 1990, to December 31, 1997. She then joined the University of Tripoli as a laboratory engineer in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, a position she held until 2001. Subsequently, she was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer in the same department. In 2005, she was promoted to Lecturer and later pursued her PhD studies in Britain, which she completed in 2010. Upon returning to her homeland, she resumed her teaching role in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. Dr. Derdar continued to advance in her academic career, being promoted to Assistant Professor in 2016 and Associate Professor in 2020.

Research Interests

Dr. Mawaheb Derdar has many interests in the field of chemical engineering. She supervises about 5 graduation projects each year, is an internal and confidential evaluator for a number of master’s theses, and has many publications in her field of specialization.

External Activities

Dr. Mawaheb Derdar has reviewed numerous articles and research papers presented at both external and internal conferences, in addition to evaluating articles for various internal journals.
