Roles

Almahdi Atteya Alhwaige is a faculty member at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. After more than 20 years as a former faculty member at Elmergib University, Mr. Dr. Alhwaige transferred to the University of Tripoli with the position of Associate Professor since April 1, 2023, according to the transfer decision issued by the President of the University of Tripoli No. 3606 of 2022, and he has many scientific publications in his field of specialization. Among the tasks he carried out was serving as director of the Office of Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Engineering at Elmergib University in the period 2016 - 2018. He was a member of the Scientific Committee of the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Elmergib University during the period 2014 - 2016, after which he served as Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Department in the period 2016 - 2021.

Careers

·      Dr. Alhwaige currently works as a faculty member at the University of Tripoli with the rank of Associate Professor since the date of his start in the Department of Chemical Engineering on April 1, 2023

·       He worked as a faculty member in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Elmergib University as Associate Professor, from July 21, 2021- March 31, 2023.

·       He worked as a faculty member in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Elmergib University as Assistant Professor in the period July 21, 2017 - July 20, 2021.

·       He worked as a faculty member in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Elmergib University as Lecturer, from July 21, 2014 AD - July 20, 2017.

·       He was sent to study in the United States of America to obtain a precise degree (PhD) in the field of chemical engineering in the period August 15, 2008- June 21, 2014.

External Activities

Dr. Alhwaige has severed tasks outside the teaching process, the most important of which are:

1. Chairman of the First Scientific Conference in the Fields of Chemical, Petroleum and Gas Engineering (ICCPGE-2016) for the year 2016, which was organized by the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Elmergib University.

2. Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Fourth Conference of Engineering and Technical Sciences (CEST-2021) for the year 2021, which was organized by the Faculty of Engineering in Zliten at the Asmariya Islamic University.

3. A member of the Scientific Committee of the Fifth Conference of Engineering Sciences and Technology (CEST-2022) for the year 2022, which was organized by the Faculty of Engineering in Nalut, University of Nalut.
