Dr. Frefer's primary role as assistant professor, associate professor, and then professor is teaching a range of courses, i.e., Metallurgy, Welding Technology, Industrial Management, Engineering Materials, Quality Control, Operations Research, and Production. He also contributed to supervising many BsC graduation projects, including but not limited to studying material structure & mechanical properties, quality control, simulations, and welding. He also taught various MSc graduate courses, including but not limited to advanced welding techniques, advanced manufacturing processes, and engineering management. He also contributed to supervising master’s theses, the topics of which varied, which resulted in the publication of scientific research papers.
Careers
Before joining the University of Tripoli, Dr. Frever worked at the University of Idaho's Nanotechnology Research Center (IMAP), Which resulted in a significant collection of research papers and reports published in research journals and conferences. During that period, he supervised the Nano Technology Center laboratory and the laboratory for studying mechanical properties and various types of corrosion. Dr. Frefer has also taught a range of courses including but not limited to Materials Science and Engineering, Manufacturing Processes, and Light Materials. He also cooperated with various Libyan national institutions of higher education and scientific research institutions.

Optimization of various manufacturing Processes, such as welding, Burnishing, turning, etc.)
Human Engineering Factors, Occupational Safety, and Injuries, Air Pollution and Clean Environment), Reverse Engineering Techniques, Powder Metallurgy, Synthesis of Materials, and NanoStructured materials, Microstructural and Mechanical Properties, Analytical techniques such as Electron Microscopy (SEM and TEM) and X-Ray Diffraction Technique
Titanium/Aluminum/Intermetallics, Corrosion, and Stress Corrosion Cracking of various Engineering materials such as Steel/Stainless Steel and Various advanced Al-Li alloys.
