• Design, fabrication and testing of a 1 kW horizontal axis wind turbine, supported by the Islamic Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO), 1994-1993.
• Using the HiGraph programming language and PLC in the implementation of control tasks, within the framework of the collaboration between the University of Freiburg and Siemens, Germany, 2000.  
• The Head of the field work team to study the possibility of utilising solar energy in the geographical scope of the Wadi Al Hayat region, 2004-2005.
• Member of the Higher National Committee for Localisation of Manufacturing Desalination Plants and Renewable Energy, 2003-2005.
• Head of the site evaluation team for the establishment of a wind farm in Libya, 2003-2005.
• Member of the committee in charge of determining the technical specifications of the laboratories of the Centre for New and Renewable Energies 2004-2005.
• Member of the Libyan Society for Automation and Robotics.
• Reviewer of many research papers for conferences and scientific journals.
