Roles

Currently, Dr, Musa Mohamed Radwan is full professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Petroleum Engineering teaching thermodynamics and heat transfer. and Coordinator of Post Graduate Studies at the Department of Petroleum Engineering. In addition, Dr. Radwan is supervising four MSc projects for obtaining the degree of Master in Engineering Management. Since joining University of Tripoli, Dr. Radwan had held the following administrative tasks:

1. Head of Examination and study section at the petroleum of Engineering Department ( 2010 - 2013)

2. Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department (2016 - 2018)

Careers

Dr. Radwan obtained his PhD degree in 1999 from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, SP. Brazil (UNICAMP) in the field of Mechanical Engineering -Thermo-fluids.  Since that time, he joined Tajura Nuclear Research Center, Reactor Thermohydraulic Groupe. In 2001 Dr. Radwan joined petroleum Engineering Department as collaborative professor for teaching thermal Engineering courses. In 2010, he joined the university as a full-time faculty member and assigned to teach thermodynamics and heat transfer courses for petroleum Engineering students, as well as teaching advanced Engineering Mathematics for Post graduate students. It should be mentioned here, that prior to joining University of Tripoli, Dr. Radwan joined the Academy of Post Graduate Studies as full-time faculty member and taught the following Mechanical Engineering courses:

1.     Advanced Heat Conduction.

2.     Advanced Control Volume based Finite Difference Method.

3.     Applied Finite Element for fluid flow and heat transfer.

Also had supervised five MSc. theses for post graduate students.

•       Thermal energy Storage, (Cold Storage)

•       Temperature Management of Electronic Devices

•       Reactor Thermo-Hydraulics

•       Thermal Barrier Coatings of Gas Turbine Blades. 

External Activities

In the last twenty years, Dr. Radwan had conducted original research works leading to the publication of several articles in local and international journals. Also had been invited as a peer reviewer to articles published in indexed journals and conferences. Currently an MSc. Project for obtaining the Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering is being supervised an it is in progress at the Libya Academy.
