Roles

Hassan Ali Hassan Ebrahem Al-Yaqoubi has been a staff member in the Software Engineering Department at the Faculty of Information Technology since 02-09-2013. Currently, Mr. Hassan Ali Al-Yaqoubi has been working as an assistant professor since 09-02-2021, and he teaches many scientific subjects and has many scientific publications and scientific books in his field of specialization.

Hassan's main roles are researcher, graduate project supervisor, and lecturer. He has published at different conferences and has two scientific books on databases (Introduction to Databases - Structured Query Language) and is working on research with his colleagues. Currently, he works as Coordinator for Alumni Affairs in the department.

Careers

Before joining the University of Tripoli, Hassan worked for many years in the telecommunications sector, where he held the position of head of the development and training department in the General Telecommunications Company, where he worked for 10 years, then he moved to work in the Hatif Libya Company and worked for it about 4 years and was assigned the task of head Department of Commercial Affairs and Information Technology. Before moving on as a lecturer at the University of Tripoli.

Research Interests

Hassan has scientific research in the field of information retrieval, Agent-based modeling, and deep learning. He is also now researching the field of natural language processing NLP. He is interested in databases.

He is a member of the Data and Multimedia Laboratory Group at the University of Tripoli.

External Activities

Hassan has worked as a collaborating lecturer in teaching academic subjects and supervising graduation projects in other Faculties.
