Roles

abdulmonem ashafah is a faculty member in the Department of Private Law at the Faculty of Law, Tripoli. He has been working at the University of Tripoli as an assistant lecturer since April 24, 2017, and has numerous scientific publications in his field of specialization. He is also involved in many legal activities both inside and outside the university, such as assisting public and private institutions and entities in developing legal solutions and providing memoranda on various issues. Additionally, he practices advocacy before the courts in Libya and engages in arbitration work.

Careers

I started working at the university as a teaching assistant, taking on administrative roles and some academic tasks. After completing my academic degree, I was reappointed as a faculty member, where I assumed academic responsibilities such as lecturing on Civil Law, Commercial Law, and Labor Law. I also undertook administrative duties, including serving on exam administration committees, investigation committees, and disciplinary committees.

Research Interests

The focus is on the academic field, as I have completed a Master’s degree in another specialization at the Libyan Academy in the Department of International Economic Relations. My interests also include researching for lectures, participating in academic workshops, and preparing research papers, such as "The Legal Framework of Professional Firms." Additionally, I am involved in training outstanding students at the university’s Research and Development Center.

External Activities

I have assisted and collaborated legally with various public and private entities and companies in providing legal opinions and memoranda for many legal issues they face, as well as in drafting legal regulations and legislation related to them, such as those concerning foreign investment. I have also represented clients before the courts in Libya.
