After his appointment in 2009 to work at the College of Law/University of Tripoli as a faculty member with the rank of assistant lecturer in the Department of Criminal Law, Ismail Otman assumed the task of teaching various subjects in the specialty, where he taught courses in criminology, penology, general criminal law, and private criminal law, to several groups. In different semesters and academic years.

After obtaining a doctorate degree from France in the field of criminal law, Dr. Ismail Otman joined the university and was promoted to the position of lecturer, where he now teaches various groups in specialization subjects.

Careers

In addition to teaching specialized subjects, Dr. Ismail Othman holds the position of coordinator of the Criminal Law Department in the Study and Examinations Department at the Faculty of Law branch in Tajoura, “Sector C''.

Research Interests

Within the framework of his research interests, Dr. Ismail Otman, in the Journal of the Faculty of Law - University of Tripoli, published a research paper titled, “The idea of ​​transcending the traditional logic of criminal law, “its philosophical basis and its substantive and procedural implications,” and he is now working on preparing other research in the field of criminal law.
