Jamila Al-Takitik is one of the faculty members in the History Department at the Faculty of Arts, Tripoli.

Mrs. Jamila Al-Takitik has been working at the University of Tripoli as a professor since 04/01/2016 and has many scientific publications in her field of specialization.

She studied and taught the following subjects at the Licentiate’s level:

• History of African-Arab relations.
• History of the spread of Islam in Africa.
• Modern history of Africa.
• Contemporary history of Africa.
• History of Arab-Islamic civilization.
• History of the Islamic Maghreb (B).
• History of Arab-African Civilization (A-B).

She studied and taught at the postgraduate level the following subjects:

Master's stage:

• Topics in modern and contemporary African history.

Subjects in the history of the spread of Islam in Africa.

Doctorate stage:

• Panel discussion subject.

Discuss several master's and doctoral theses in the field of specialization:

• 2 master’s theses.
• 4 doctoral theses.

Careers

She were appointed as a faculty member at the University of Tripoli, Faculty of Arts, Department of History, from 1993 to the present:

• She were appointed to the position of assistant lecturer in 1993.
• She were promoted to the position of lecturer in 1997.
• She were promoted to the rank of assistant professor in 2007.
• She were promoted to the rank of associate professor in 2011.
• She were promoted to the rank of professor in 2016.
• She were promoted to the fifteenth job grade in 2018.
