Roles

I work as a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as an assistant lecturer, and I work as a quality and performance evaluation coordinator in the department, where the application of quality systems in the department is emphasized by preparing course descriptions and quarterly reports according to the models of the National Center for Quality Assurance and referring them to the college’s quality department through the department head. The department council gives its approval. I also participate in preparing the final exams in the courses that I teach.

Careers

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tripoli, 2007. I then worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology since 2011. I participated in giving practical lessons and clinical cases. I then obtained a Master's degree in Biomedicine from the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, 2023.

Research Interests

During my master's program, I worked on studying the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency among pregnant  diabetic Libyan women in the western region of Libya, and it has been published. I also collaborated with my colleagues in the department and other departments, in cooperation with the Biotechnology Center, on research during the Corona pandemic titled: The Association of demographic characteristics of blood donors with primary preventive measures (PPM) during the COVID-19 pandemic. I also have an interest in the following areas. Clinical Biochemistry,Pediatric,Genetic,Molecular Biology, Metabolic diseases,Hematology.

External Activities

I have worked as a pediatrician for the military medical service since 2009. I also worked as a paediatric resident at Al-Jalaa Children's Hospital and the Tripoli Medical Centre as part of the Arab Fellowship Program in pediatrics. I obtained the first part of the Arab Fellowship in Paediatrics and am currently at Al-Khadra Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I completed a course on how to use Mendeley and received a certificate in Basic Life Support, and ICDL..I participated in many workshops related to newborn care, and I am also a member of the Libyan Association for Newborns.
