Teaching staff in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Faculty of Medicine – University of Tripoli/ Teach Epidemiology and Research Methodology to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students (Masters and Diplomas)/ Involved in the teaching of Family Medicine. Particularly, clinical approaches to patients with diabetes and patients with hypertension, patient’s referral process and prescription writing in family practice/ Teach some topics in the modules of human behavior and health informatics/ Coordinator of the Community Medicine Semester at the department/ A principal supervisor of postgraduate’s research activities/ A member of the Department’s Scientific Committee/ Preparation of written, OSPE and OSCE exams in Community and Family Medicine.

During the period from 2005 to 2010: Demonstrator at the Department of Family and Community Medicine -Faculty of Medicine - University of Tripoli

During the period from 2016 to 2020: Lecturer in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Faculty of Medicine – University of Tripoli

During the period from 2021 to date: Assistance professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Faculty of Medicine – University of Tripoli

Research Interests

The main area of research interest is the epidemiology of Chronic Non-communicable Diseases

External Activities

A member of COVID-19 Epidemiology Committees of the Faculty of Medicine, of University of Tripoli and of the National Center for Diseases Control

A teaching member, a participant in exam preparation, and an examiner in viva for fellowship theses in the Council of Medical Specialties

A member of the Research Committee of the Libyan Emergency Medicine Association

Teaching member for the Epidemiology of infection control for Diploma of Infection Control and Prevention Program at the National Center for Diseases Control

Currently participating in a training program in health management and economics provided by the European Union “Saha Project”, and contributing to an establishment of a master degree in health management and economics at Faculty of Medicine - University of Tripoli
