Roles
My experience in surveillance, outbreak response, program coordination, and stakeholder engagement equips me with practical insights that align seamlessly with teaching and research in public health. A significant aspect of my work has been training and capacity building. I am responsible for the Event-Based Surveillance program, which involves training surveillance officers and community volunteers, enhancing their ability to detect and report public health events. Furthermore, I coordinate risk communication and community engagement programs, ensuring critical public health messages reach target populations effectively.
I am particularly passionate about mentoring students and equipping them with the skills needed to address real-world public health challenges. My expertise in developing response plans, monitoring and evaluation, and fostering collaborations with different organizations enables me to contribute meaningfully to both academic instruction and research. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to translate my field experience into impactful teaching and research, fostering a dynamic learning environment that prepares students for leadership in public health.
