Khaled Gdara is a staff members of the department of forensic medicine and toxicology . He is professor of toxicology since April 2010. He teaches several subjects in  in his field and has several puplications in the field of his interest. Since September 2023, Prof. Gdara has been appointed as dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

The synthesis and Biological activity of prodrugs of antitumour and antiviral nucleosides.

- Study of the protective Effects of vitamins and chelating agents of metallic poisons.

- Studies on scorpion stings which include biological markers.

- Hepatotoxic effects of heavy metals and antipsychotic medicines.

- Alcohol toxicity: 

-The Protective effects of some natural products on alcohol induced Gastric Lesions.

- Biological Markers of Chronic Alcohol Consumption 

- Organophosphate Insecticide poisoning.
