Research Interests:

 

  • Types and prevalence of genetic diseases among Libyan population.
  • Types of variants (mutations) of genetic diseases among Libyan population.
  • Transgenerational inheritance.
  • Inter and intra species genetic diversity. 
  • Reproductive toxicity and infertility.

 Skills:

 

  • Expert in several molecular biology techniques including: electrophoresis, hybridization, gene cloning, Southern blotting, PCR, RFLP, AFLP, and SSCP.
  • Familiar with genomic and proteomic databases such as NCBI, PDB, and EMBL.     
  • Proficient in teaching, good in experimental design and writing papers.
  • Excellent communication skills and team work.

External Activities

Providing advice to graduate students on time management and allocating time for study and research. Supervising and evaluating students’ graduation projects and discussions. Updating curricula in line with scientific developments.
