TAREK GIBREEL is one of the staff members at the department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, faculty of Medicine. He is working as a staff member since 2006-08-01. He teaches Medical Microbiology and Molecular biology and has several publications in the field of his interest. He is also the Head of Academic Advisory Unit (AAU) in the faculty of medicine.

Research Interests

Dr. Tarek Gibreel obtained his PhD from the University of Manchester in 2013, and his studies included the use of genetic techniques to investigate the genetic evolution and development of pathogenic  bacteria . Dr. Tarek Gibreel and his research team are conducting numerous studies in the following fields: - The spread of antibiotic resistance in healthcare facilities . - Hospital-acquired infections and their causes.
