Roles

I joined the Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in University of Tripoli as a teaching staff member and I have carried out all of the tasks that a teaching staff member should perform, those tasks include teaching  internal medicine subject for the final semesters students in the faculty of medicine , which comprise  both theoretical and clinical aspects, as well as teaching internal medicine subject for students of the Faculty of Dentistry. I had also participated in internal medicine exams as an examiner and as a coordinator of oral and clinical examinations in teaching hospitals, which included preparing and revising questions and organizing the conduct of clinical and oral examinations.

Careers

Before joining the university, I worked at Tripoli University Hospital as a specialist in the Department of Nephrology and Internal Medicine from November 2018 to November 2023.  I also previously worked as a lecturer at Management and science University (MSU) in Malaysia, where I taught internal medicine for the clinical years at the Faculty of Medicine, and this position includes theoretical and clinical teaching, as well as supervision and coordination of theoretical and clinical exams, in addition to mentoring of medical students under my direct supervision.

 

Research Interests

I am interested in medical research, especially in the field of Nephrology and dialysis, as I conducted researches as part of the requirements for obtaining a clinical Board degree and a master’s degree from the University of Malaya (UM) in Malaysia, my research topic was “ESTIMATING RENAL FUNCTION IN ELDERLY MALAYSIAN PATIENTS IN UMMC: A COMPARISON OF CREATININE - BASED AND CYSTATIN C – BASED FORMULAE”

External Activities

I did a variety of external activities while previously working as a lecturer at MSU for three years, these activities included mentoring meetings and students’ activities. I also recently participated in the preparatory induction course for intern doctors for the year 2024, where I gave

an interactive introductory lecture on medical documentation as well as a workshop in the form of a medical forum for dealing with internal medicine cases.
