Dr. Nasren El-ahmer began her academic career as a teaching assistant in the Internal Medicine Department in 2009.

She obtained a Master's degree in Dermatology and Venereology in 2019 from Alexandria University. Dr. Nasren continued her work in the academic field as an assistant lecturer, where she helped fifth-year students in the internal medicine department with their academic achievements by participating in delivering lectures in her specialty, dermatology, according to the curriculum assigned in Libyan universities.

Careers

Dr. Nasren El-ahmer obtained her Master's degree in Dermatology and Venereology from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University. She has professional experience in diagnosing and treating skin and hair diseases, along with advanced skills in non-surgical cosmetic procedures. She began her career as a resident doctor in major teaching hospitals, where she gained extensive clinical experience over ten years as a practicing physician specializing in dermatology. Her academic journey continued for another five years at the university hospital affiliated with Alexandria University under the supervision of clinical education supervisors in the Dermatology and Venereology department. She then continued her work as a dermatologist and academic professor at the Libyan universities.

Dr. Nasren El-ahmer always strives to develop her professional skills through regular participation in medical conferences and specialized training courses. She is also distinguished by her accuracy in diagnosis, good communication with patients, and providing comprehensive healthcare according to the latest scientific standards. She held the position of faculty member in the dermatology specialty in the internal medicine department at the Faculty of Medicine and was involved in teaching theoretical and practical courses to clinical stage students. She also supervises clinical training in educational clinics and university hospitals, and trains students in clinical diagnostic skills in dermatology. Additionally, she participates in reviewing and developing medical curricula in coordination with the relevant college committees. She also contributes to supervising graduation projects and scientific research for students and has participated in numerous awareness campaigns and community workshops aimed at enhancing health awareness related to the skin and its transmitted diseases.

Research Interests

Dr. Nasren conducted research related to the genes associated with psoriasis and the patients' responses to psoriasis treatments.

She has a special interest in the developments and scientific research related to cosmetic dermatology. And also a cognitive and research interest in laboratory and clinical diagnostic methods for microbial infections related to skin and hair diseases.

External Activities

Dr. Nasren participated in many conferences, seminars, and workshops in the Arab world, from which I obtained participation certificates and accredited work hours. She obtained a specialization diploma in the field of cosmetic therapy.
