Roles
I work as a faculty member with an academic rank as a lecturer, responsible for teaching and research in the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Tripoli. My primary roles are as a lecturer and researcher. A large part of my role in the department involves delivering theoretical lectures and clinical training to students in the field of internal medicine, in addition to supervising and providing support to students. I also evaluate student performance through examinations and participate in them, in addition to participating in research work through supervision and academic guidance of students.
Careers
A dermatologist and postdoctoral researcher with extensive clinical and academic experience in dermatology, allergy, and autoimmune skin diseases, with distinguished expertise in scientific research and advanced biotechnology. I began my career in the Dermatology Department of Tripoli Central Hospital as a collaborating physician, working in specialized outpatient clinics (such as allergy, leishmaniasis, and general dermatology), in addition to working in the inpatient ward. I also worked in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases in medical polyclinic.
In Sweden, I joined Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm to receive advanced clinical training in dermatology. This period was accompanied by a research project specializing in immunology and allergy. I obtained my PhD from Karolinska University. I subsequently participated as a researcher in several interdisciplinary scientific projects between Karolinska University and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), focusing on studying immune cell functions and developing microfluidic applications for analyzing immune cells in patients with allergy and HIV. I worked as a researcher at Karolinska University, where I developed and evaluated innovative diagnostic techniques for the diagnosis of allergies and immuno-dermatological diseases.
I have experience in teaching and academic supervision, giving lectures in immunology and allergy and supervising master's and doctoral students at KTH University, Sweden.
Research Interests
Medical researcher specializing in inflammation, especially allergies. Extensive experience in research studies with a focus on allergic skin diseases. Internationally published research on immune cell analysis and sorting using various techniques, including lab-on-chip microfluidics, spectrometry, and fluorescence microscopy. Developing new methods for allergy diagnosis and patient assessment, developing medical nanobiotechnology, and culturing three-dimensional cells and employing them for drug screening, such as anticancer drugs.
External Activities
I have attended numerous local and international scientific conferences in my field of specialization, and have also reviewed research papers at the invitation of scientific journals.
