Careers

Research Interests

I have gained general experience in parasitology testing, analysis and research. I have developed and implemented hard testing protocols to ensure product quality and compliance with laboratory standards. Moreover, I have demonstrated success in identifying and resolving laboratory issues, leading to significant process improvements and increased efficiency.

Fundamental category 2 microbiological techniques including stringent asepsis, media preparation, culture incubation (aerobic/aero-tolerant/anaerobic incubation), cell/CFU enumeration and microscopy.

Strategic planning and management of research projects at academic and industrial levels.

Sample collection including DNA and RNA extraction, lyophilisation and storage.

Essential molecular techniques including DNA and RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, primer design, RT/Nested-PCR, RNA/DNA gel electrophoresis and imaging, Northern blotting, DNA Hybridisation and fluorescent imaging.

External Activities

My work experience and my good analytical skills, make me a suitable candidate for the role of parasitologist. I am proficient in various laboratory procedures, such as PCR, qPCR, ELISA, and microbiological techniques. I am knowledgeable in using laboratory equipment and software in a safe and efficient manner.

I am also an excellent team worker who enjoys collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. My strong communication skills, both written and verbal, allow me to provide clear and concise results to management and team members, facilitating informed decision-making.
