Roles

I began my professional career as a resident physician in neurosurgery, undergoing rigorous clinical and academic training until attaining the status of a specialist. I currently serve as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tripoli. Concurrently, I maintain an active clinical practice as a Specialist Functional Neurosurgeon. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to bridging the gap between academic teaching and advanced clinical training for medical students and residents

Careers

My research interests lie within the field of neurosurgery, with a particular and deep focus on functional neurosurgery and the surgical management of movement disorders. My scientific and clinical inquiries focus on evaluating and advancing Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) techniques and their clinical applications. Additionally, I am keenly interested in tracking innovations in microneurosurgery, developing evidence-based clinical protocols, and contributing to the advancement of continuous medical education

Research Interests

Beyond my academic responsibilities, I actively contribute to specialized healthcare as a consultant and specialist neurosurgeon at prominent medical facilities. Notably, I had the privilege of leading the national medical team that introduced and performed the very first Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgeries in the country. Furthermore, I engage in public health advocacy through medical podcasts and media appearances, and maintain active engagement with international professional bodies, holding fellowships and memberships in the European Board of Neurological Surgery (FEBNS) and the Council of Arab Board of Neurosurgery (CABNS)
