Roles
I work as an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Media and Communication at the University of Tripoli, where I contribute to preparing and teaching academic courses and support students in developing their media and research skills. My focus is on connecting theoretical knowledge with practical application, while promoting critical thinking and professional ethics.
In addition to my academic responsibilities, I serve as a trainer with the Media Office at the University of Tripoli, where I supervise and train media teams and help produce professional content that reflects the university’s image and mission.
I also hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of the University of Tripoli’s official website, where I contribute to developing digital content and highlighting the university’s academic and scientific activities and achievements, thus enhancing its media presence and strengthening its connection with the community.
I always strive to contribute to building distinguished media professionals who are capable of serving society and actively participating in advancing the media sector in Libya.
Careers
I contributed to training and refining the skills of young media professionals, helping them develop their abilities in producing professional content that aligns with the highest international standards.
I worked as a journalist for both The Guardian (UK) and The International, providing in-depth articles and analyses covering various political and social issues, and conveying the voice of the Libyan street to the world.
In the field of television presentation, I held several prominent positions: I was a news and program presenter at Al-Libiya Channel, a news anchor and editor at Libya Al-Wataniya Channel, in addition to serving as Editor-in-Chief and presenter of programs and news at Libya Al-Rasmeya Channel.
I also worked as News Director, news and program presenter, and Editor-in-Chief at Al-Dawliya Channel, and contributed to the establishment and development of Libya Al-Iqtisadiya Channel as Executive Director, program and news producer and presenter, as well as Editor-in-Chief for many digital platforms, which strengthened my presence as a trusted media voice.
In addition, I gained experience as an editor and producer at Al-Massar TV, and as a creative social media content creator with BBC Media Action, providing me with deep expertise in producing and shaping media messages in various formats.
At the community level, I was a founding member of the Libyan Community Initiative in Tunisia and Jordan, and a founding member of the Student Union at the University of Tripoli. I also represented Libyan youth at the Arab Youth Center in Dubai, contributing to conveying the voice of Libyan youth to regional and international forums.
