Roles
I am an esteemed member of the teaching faculty, serving since 2018. I have the privilege of acting as an academic supervisor for a diverse group of students. Previously, I held the prestigious role of General Stage Coordinator at the College of Medical Technology from 2019 to 2023. Currently, I am honored to serve as the Study and Exams Coordinator in the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care. Additionally, I take pride in my role overseeing project student groups, demonstrating my unwavering dedication to academic excellence and student success.
Careers
After graduating from the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, I began my professional journey as an anesthesia technician in various hospitals and private health centers, gaining significant experience in providing medical support during surgeries and handling advanced anesthesia technologies.
With a desire for academic advancement, I pursued a master’s degree at the University of Glasgow in the UK, where I delved deeper into medical and research studies. After completing my master’s degree, I started my career as a faculty member teaching microbiology in 2018, marking a new phase in my professional journey.
In 2019, I was appointed as the General Stage Coordinator, a position I held until 2023, where I was responsible for coordinating academic and administrative aspects of the general stage. Currently, I am teaching courses in virology and hospital-acquired infections, in addition to serving as the Coordinator of Studies and Examinations in the Department of Anesthesia.
Research Interests
My research interest focuses on studying microorganisms that play a critical role in causing hospital-acquired infections. This field is of utmost importance due to the rising cases of infections acquired in healthcare settings, commonly known as healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) or nosocomial infections. My research aims to understand the bacterial, fungal, and viral pathogens and their resistance mechanisms to antibiotic or antifungal treatments.
