Research Interests
I have experience in conducting research in virous areas , Microbiology, Virology, Immunology and Infection Control, I supervised many post graduate students research. most of research conducted been published in International journals
External Activities
1) I'm member of auditorial board of Libyan Journal of Medical Science
2) As director of the Public Health Reference Laboratory (PHRL) at National Centre for Disease Control, my duties
and responsibilities were laboratory management building capacities; role in
specification of the laboratory equipment to enhance detection capacities,
training of laboratory personal and secure reagent supply and stock.
Communication with WHO country office and EMRO in various activities and assessment missions; activation of National Influenza Centre, strengthening laboratory capacities according to IHR requirement , external quality assessment, Biorisk management, sequencing capabilities and other accomplished activities:
· Recognition of PHRL as NIC involving in seasonal influenza surveillance
· Participation in WHO External Quality Assessment program and recently for COVID-19.
· Main core of COVID-19 testing capabilities during the pandemic and role in country COVID-19 laboratories diagnostic planning and utilizing the available capacities in other sectors to expands diagnostic sites.
· Working closely with surveillance rapid response teams
· Building communication with other national health laboratories related to IHR capacities to exchange information and notification.
3) As National Focal point of International Health Regulation (2005), I supervise the process of conducting the Joint external evaluation (JEE) in very challengeable situation as country in crisis to monitoring and evaluation the IHR core capacities. A national action plan for health security (NAPHS) was developed.
