After more than twenty years at the University of Tripoli. Abdulwahab Al Deib is one of the staff members at the department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. During these years, he has a lot of research activities with his both groups of student; the undergraduae and the postgraduate students. He and his colleagues, started the practical works at the publio hospitals in Tripoli and the cities near by. He is working as a assistant Professor since 1998. He teaches several subjects in his major and has several puplications in the field of his interest.
Careers
Prior to joining University of Tripoli, Al-Deib worked for many years in Pediatric Hospital at city of Tripoli. . He served as senior manager at various departments at the hospital. Al-Deib’s duties have primarily focused on quality management, and concern for the biological samples of the patient. He joined University of Tripoli (UOT) initially as a lecturer in the Department of Pathology but then subsequently moved on to the Head of the Pathology Department. This has allowed him to further develop, and encourage,In 2012, he a pointed as a dean of the Faculty of Medical technology.
Research Interests
Doctor Al-Deib is classified as research active, and he has published in a various research journals. These include the Journal of Bacteriology, Journal of Molecular Biology, Journal of Forensic Science International Genetics, International Journal of Legal Medicine. His research and writing focus mainly on Human genetics and DNA recombination and Repair, Genetics markers. He currently has a number of projects with postgraduate students under way or at the planning stage.

In 2012, Dr Abdulwahab A. Al-Deib, Start To Be One Of The Member Of The General Authority For The Search And Identification Of Missing Persons.
He Sent To Different Cities To Look For And Identification Of Humans Remains In The Miss Grave Site; Algalah In Nafusa Mountains. City Of Bier Alganiem Near City Of Zawia, Tripoli City. Al-Deib’s lead A Group Of His Colleague Ministry Of Assistance To Families Of Martyrs And Missing Persons, To The City Of Ben-Jouad, (East City Of Sirut) To Identified And Take Biological Samples Of Bodies That Buried In The Mass Grave Sites. More Than 100 Bodies Took Out The Grave And Take Notes Of Their Body State And Their Clothes And Their Belongs That Found In Their Buckets.
Dr Al-Deib Leads A Scientific Group To The City Of Misurata, East Of Tripoli, To Take Biological Samples From The Body Of Colonial Muammer Gadaffy And His Son Almuatessem Gadaffy.
2015, With A Group Of Academic People As A Scientific Commuty To Establish A Faculty Of Medical Technology And A Faculty Of Medicine In The University Of Alzituna In The City Of Tarhouna. In 2016, Chosen As A Guest Speakers In The Congress Of The Institute Of Genetics Engineering In The University Of Bagdad
