Dr. Rabia Mrehil Elsalami is a faculty member at the College of Medical Technology, specifically in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. She has played a significant role in advancing both the educational and administrative processes within her department and across other departments. Dr. Elsalami has taught a variety of microbiology subjects, including general microbiology in the general department. She also worked as a coordinator for the general department.

In addition, she taught bacteriology and virology in the Department of Pathology before it merged with the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. After the merger, Dr. Elsalami served as the head of the Pathology Department, where she was responsible for overseeing the educational process and organizing academic activities within the department.

Following the merger of the two departments, Dr. Elsalami continued her work as a faculty member in the newly combined Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. She taught mycology and clinical virology, both theoretically and practically. In 2018, Dr. Elsalami also took on a vital role as the study and examination coordinator for the general department, where she contributed to preparing academic schedules and organizing exams, which improved the overall academic workflow.

Dr. Elsalami is considered an influential figure in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, combining expertise in teaching, administration, and technology. She consistently strives to create an advanced, effective educational environment that enhances the quality of education within her department and the broader academic community.

Research Interests

Dr. Rabia Elsalami is an active researcher with notable contributions in various fields, including mycology, immunology, and pharmacology. One of her scientific papers was ranked among the best papers of 2021 in the Scopus database. She has also participated in numerous scientific workshops at both local and international levels.

External Activities

Over the course of her five-year Ph.D. journey, Dr. Rabia Elsalami contributed to the review of several scientific papers, served as an examiner for some students, and supervised the research of several undergraduate students. She continued her work as a researcher in the fields of pharmacology and immunology.
