Roles
I began my career at the University of Tripoli in 2010, where I worked in the Department of Pathology for two years. During this period, I taught practical lectures in tissue pathology and normal histology. In 2012, I received a scholarship to further my studies in the United States, pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology. My thesis focused on prostate diseases, hormones, and their association with cancer.
After completing my studies, I returned to Libya and took on the role of Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratories at the University of Tripoli. In this role, I teach pathological histology, a subject in which I have significant expertise. My responsibilities include delivering lectures on tissue diseases and the preparation of specimens for microscopic examination. I also oversee the pathological histology laboratory, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and that necessary supplies are available for daily activities. My role involves maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment, which facilitates effective research and learning for both students and faculty.
In addition to my academic duties, I provide practical training to students in the laboratory. I guide them on using modern equipment and techniques in pathological histology, including sample preparation, microscope usage, and various analytical methods. This hands-on training is essential for helping students develop the practical skills required for success in their field.
My position at the university is crucial for integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills in the field of pathological histology. I strive to enhance the academic and research experiences of my students, ensuring they gain the expertise needed for their future careers. By supporting students through their academic journey and managing the laboratory efficiently, I contribute to their overall success and development in this specialized area of study
