Research Interests
My research background is in the field of solid dosage formulation and manufacture having completed a PhD investigating the influence of crystallization process and formulation parameters (excipients and different additives) to improve the compaction and compression properties for produced tablets. I have experience in the use of compaction simulation for evaluating the compression properties of drugs and excipients and in recent years, my research focus on development of a solid dosage form formulations includes studies of crystal manipulation to improve their physical and mechanical properties. Also, my research interests include:
· Study and modification of crystal properties such as habit and polymorph using additives within the crystallization medium
· The design desired particles with modified shape that will lead to improvement in the compression, flowability, and stability of formulated tablet
External Activities
Participate as one of the external members of the committees for evaluating scientific research submitted for scientific promotions, ensuring their quality and suitability to scientific standards, and deciding whether to accept or reject them.
Participation as a member of the jury of scientific awards and evaluation of candidates for these scientific awards in a way that contributes to encouraging scientific research and innovation
Work as a scientific consultant and provide scientific advice to pharmaceutical companies and governmental and non-governmental pharmaceutical institutions. This contributes to the application of scientific research in practice, and the achievement of sustainable development.
Participate in scientific conferences and seminars by presenting working papers, participating in discussions, and building scientific relations and contribute to the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and the development of scientific research.
Participate in committees preparing reports on specific scientific issues, at the request of various institutions, leading to make decisions based on scientific evidence to help solve societal problems
