Roles

Nagla Layas is a faculty member in the Department of Industrial Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy. She has been working at the University of Tripoli as an Assistant Lecturer since June 1, 2013, and later as a Lecturer from 2021 to 2024. She has numerous scientific publications in her field of expertise and has supervised several undergraduate graduation projects at the faculty.

Research Interests

• Interest in research on analytical methods to ensure the quality of pharmaceutical products through the application of quality standards to guarantee the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products. This includes a series of tests and analyses conducted on pharmaceutical products to ensure that products meet the required specifications and standards
• "Study and improvement of multiparticulate drug delivery systems, including granulation and pelletization, used in the pharmaceutical industry to create small, free-flowing, semi-spherical units from fine powders or granules.

External Activities

Training and Skills I conducted training in the using different equipment in pharmaceutical research for example:

1.  Mini coater training.
2.  Scanning electron microscope.
3.  Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. 
4. Nano-spray drying
5.  Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). 
6. Atomic Absorption spectrometer
