Prof. Mohamed El Attug is one of the staff members at the Department of Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Tripoli since 15/02/2001. Then he rose through the academic ladder from associate professor to associate professor and then to professor since 25/09/2018. He has many scientific publications in his field of specialization. At the college as a teaching assistant in 1996, he was then sent to prepare for a master’s degree in the United Kingdom at the University of Manchester in Manchester. He obtained a master’s degree in 2000 and returned as a faculty member with the rank of assistant, attending in February 2001. He teaches several subjects in his major and has several publications in the field of his interest and as a full Professor since 2018/09/25. Then as student supervisor to Canada from 2004 to 2008. Then he was sent to prepare a doctorate degree in Belgium at the Katholic University of Leuven in the city of Leuven. He published more than ten research papers in major scientific journals in the field of pharmaceutical analysis and participated in several scientific conferences. He received the award for the best researcher in the conference. The European Union for Pharmaceutical Sciences, held in the Czech Republic, then in September 2011, we obtained a doctorate degree in the field of pharmaceutical analysis and drug control.

External Activities

In 2017, in the Government of National Accord, he was appointed Director of the Department of Attachés and Delegates Affairs at the Ministry of Education until mid-2019. He was Chairman of the Committee for Selection of Academic Attaches Abroad and Chairman of the Committee for Preparing the 1310 Delegation and Scholarship Regulations. In April, he was appointed Director General of the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions, and chaired several committees, including the Education Regulations.
