Dr. Amal Belaid is an associate professor in the Department of Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Tripoli. Research Interests
- My research interests are varied as my teaching, and take a multidisciplinary but yet integrative approach to identification, construction and manipulation of molecules to address defined biomedical objectives. My research interest also focuses on regenerative medicine and delivery of biopharmaceuticals, natural product chemistry, to identify chemical compounds found in nature that usually has a pharmacological or biological activity for use in pharmaceutical drug discovery and drug design. I have worked in the area of research and development for the pharmaceutical sector for the last years. I am well versed in formulation development, industry experience in formulating, innovating, bringing products to market, practical chemistry, instrumentation, laboratory techniques, and methodology. Experience working within a GMP/GCP/GLP environment, in addition, experience of client management and technical expertise in a relevant scientific arena. As a pharmaceutical inspector my role is to inspect pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in either to enforce Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance or to provide authorization for the manufacture of specific pharmaceutical products, usually in relation to an application for marketing authorization.
