Nisreen Hussein Maiqal obtained her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Tripoli, in the academic year 2013. She then worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Tripoli, from March 2016 to 2026. During this time, she participated in numerous workshops within the department and contributed to teaching laboratory courses in organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. She earned her Master's degree in October 2024 with highest honors, becoming the first female student to obtain a Master's degree in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Libyan universities. She has several scientific publications in the field of pharmaceutical synthesis and drug design.

Teaching Assistant in the Department of Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry 2016-2026.Assistant Lecturer 2026-Present.

Research Interests

Interested in the field of drug synthesis and the study of their biological activity. Interested in exploring the latest developments in molecular modeling and drug design to support pharmaceutical innovation and advance technology-based pharmaceutical research
