Roles

• Teaching General and Organic Chemistry courses to students in the Colleges of Science, Engineering, and Education, as well as students in the Medical Preparatory Program.
• Teaching several courses within the Organic Chemistry specialization at the postgraduate level.
• Supervising several undergraduate graduation projects in Organic Chemistry.
• Supervising a number of Master's theses and serving as an examiner for other Master's theses at Libyan universities.

Research Interests

Chemistry of natural products, including phytochemical screening and the study of the biological activity of extracts prepared from powdered Libyan medicinal plants. Gas chromatographic analysis of these extracts

External Activities

He serves as a reviewer and evaluator of research papers for several Libyan universities and is a member of the advisory board for the *Journal of Humanities and Applied Sciences*, published by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Qasr Khiyar.
