Roles

Shaban Saad is one of the staff members at the department of pharmacology, faculty of pharmacy. He is working as a  professor  since 2023-03-03. He teaches several subjects in his major and has several publications in the field of his interest.

Some tasks completed within the university:

Teaching physiology subject to pharmacy students

Teaching various courses in pharmacology and therapeutics

Teaching molecular biology courses to graduate students at the college

Teaching advanced pharmacology courses to master’s students

Supervised a number of master’s students at the college

Worked as a graduate studies coordinator

Worked as a member of the college’s scientific committee

Worked as head of the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology

Membership in many scientific and teaching committees at the college

Careers

Soon after my graduation from school of pharmacy Tripoli university, I joined the school of pharmacy as a demonstrator in the department of pharmaceutics. Since the school of pharmacy introduced a master program in pharmacology, I then joined the program and therefore I gained the degree in 2003.  Luckily, I was honored to be the first graduate for the master degree in the school of pharmacy Tripoli university. In 2012 I was granted the PhD degree and re-joined the teaching staff in the department of pharmacology. Since then, I have been teaching in the department and in 2023 I was elevated to the academic position of  professor.

I have a cooperation with some researchers in the UK and Malaysia about cancer prevention and management.

• I work as reviewer for some biomedical journals.
• Currently  I am a member of the scientific committee of clinical pharmacy in the Libyan medical board
