Roles

After four years at University of Tripoli, Eman now works full-time as a lecturer (Teaching and Research) in the department of pharmaceutics.

Eman's primary role as a lecturer is teaching undergraduate students. Beside to that, she is active as a researcher. Mainly, she is supervising a number of graduation projects of undergraduate students in her specialized field. These projects are considered as a partial requirement for pharmacy students to obtain bachelor degree in pharmacy. She has published three scientific papers. In addition to that, she is a reviewer for some reputable international journals.

Eman's teaching activities has largely focused on pharmacy practice for undergraduate level in this field. She currently delivers a pharmacy practice lectures specifically on the principles of Pharmacoeconomics. Moreover, she led the practical sessions covering a wide range of topics: dealing with ethical dilemmas, providing a patient counselling, and understanding the concept of the pharmaceutical care as an advanced service for the pharmacists. Eman, during the last two years, has combined teaching with research.

After joining the University of Tripoli as a teaching assistant, she had got a scholarship for postgraduate study. This scholarship was given to her by Libyan Ministry of Higher Education due to her excellence and diligence at the university level. Unfortunately, she spent around three years as a time out for recovery and rehabilitation from spinal cord injury (paraplegia). Despite her medical condition, a decision for continuing her work and study was taken. She performed her postgraduate studies (MSc degree/2017). Then she attended the faculty of pharmacy at UOT as a lecturer assistant. She has participated in a number of national and international competitions. She successfully got the 1st position in patient counselling competition in the occasion of World Pharmacists' Day 2021 held at Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Karachi, Pakistan. And the 3rd rank in a national competition (Libyan innovation prize 2018, a competition for the best research project on postgraduate level)

Research Interests

Miss Eman is classified as a young researcher. She is at the beginning of her pathway. She is still working to strengthen her knowledge and skills about the research; however, so far, she has published three research papers related to the medication error reporting, vaccine hesitancy, and smoking. Her research interests are wide but focus chiefly on the ethical dilemmas, rational drug use, and antibiotics misuse.

External Activities

Over the past five years, Miss. EMAN has been a regular reviewer for a variety of reputable journal in her field, primarily Journal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences, Journal of Patient Safety and Risk Management, Journal of Pharmacy Practice. Moreover, she provided short training sessions about the concept of pharmaceutical care for pharmacists at Al Khadra Hospital, and a presentation on the role of pharmacist in providing care to the HIV-patients on The World Day for AIDS 2022 that is organized by the National Center For Disease Control- Libya.
