Roles

I am SARA T. TAEB, one of the staff members at the department of pharmaceutics in the faculty of pharmacy since September 2008 till now. I teach several subjects that related to national drug policy, drug supply system, self-treatment and different minor conditions that community pharmacist involved in and I have several publications in the field of interest. I have supervised more than twenty projects for undergraduate students.

Careers

I was appointed as teaching assistant in September 2008 in Pharmaceutics department for 2 years. In June 2015, I awarded master degree in pharmaceutical sciences by faculty of pharmacy, Ain Shams University. I was re-appointed as assistant lecturer in March 2016 in Pharmaceutics department. I was promoted as lecturer in June 2021in Pharmaceutics department.

Research Interests

Pharmaceutical care, pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy. Over the last decades, the pharmacy profession has witnessed tremendous practice changes, especially after the introduction of clinical pharmacy concepts, followed by the philosophy of pharmaceutical care. The introduction of these concepts and philosophy in modern day pharmacy practice has transformed the pharmacist's role to focus more on patient-oriented services rather than the traditional focus on product and dispensing services. Over the years, after the successful introduction of clinical pharmacy concepts and services in the world has followed suit in transforming pharmaceutical services. Along with adopting these concepts and philosophy, the change of the existing pharmacy curriculum is needed to provide the necessary training so that future pharmacy practitioners are equipped with the necessary knowledge and clinical skills. 

External Activities

Currently there is no any external activities or cooperation as journal editor or anything else. I am looking forward to participate in national and international academic and scientific conferences and symposia that are interested in promoting the scientific movement in the country as speaker or as a member of scientific committee. Participating periodically in such conferences, which are concerned with the profession, will render the opportunity to enhance skills and share common experiences.
