Roles
Amal Benkorah is one of the staff members at the department of Pharmaceutics faculty of Pharmacy. She is working as a professor since 2005-05-01. She teaches several subjects in her major and has several publications in the field of her interest.
Dr. Benkorah is responsible for developing and teaching two very important curricular subjects at the latest level of the pharmacy degree, namely Pharmacy Practice I and II. She is also a major participant in the preparation and teaching of graduate courses at the department of pharmaceutics for the Masters degree students and responsible for the supervision of research projects of several students in the Masters' degree program. She is also holding (and held) the following positions:
Chairman of the Evaluation and Measurement Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy - University of Tripoli since September 2024
Head of the Pharmaceutics Department 2023 (until the beginning of the academic sabbatical on 10/1/2023. I also headed the department in the academic year 2002/2003

Research Interests
Prof. Amal Benkorah has been supervising the research of undergraduate students for more than twenty-five years... and is now supervising the research of master’s students in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy, in various fields of pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice... such as Modern Pharmaceutical Education, Drug Supply Management at different levels, studying Prescription Patterns in healthcare facilities, in addition to other areas of pharmaceutical practice.
Prof. Amal Benkorah has been supervising the research of undergraduate students for more than twenty-five years... and is now supervising the research of master’s students in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy in various fields of pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice... such as modern pharmaceutical education, drug supply management at different levels, study Prescribing Patterns in health facilities, hospitals, in addition to other areas of pharmaceutical practice.
External Activities
· Chairman of the Curriculum Committee for the Clinical Pharmacy Specialty at the Medical Specialties Council, which was formed by the resolution of the Chairman of the Medical Specialties Council No. 64 of 2022 regarding the development of a theoretical and training program for the Clinical Pharmacy specialization.
· Member of the Steering Committee of the National Vaccination Campaign against Covid 19 Novel, which was formed in 2021 pursuant to Resolution No. 57 of the Director General of the National Center for Disease Control, to coordinate and supervise the campaign.
· Member of the technical committee formed by decision of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health No. 4 of 2018 (consultant) to supervise the Ministry’s pharmacovigilance program for the purpose of guidance, training, and raising efficiency.
· Member of the International Cooperation Office at the University of Tripoli, representing the Faculty of Pharmacy in the period between 2012 - 2014.
· Head of Auditing teams for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities abroad (worked a s a consultant for the Pharmacy Department at the Ministry of Health in this field).
- Specialized trainer for education in the field of “Medication Therapy Management.”
