Roles

 Abdalla Ali is a senior member of teaching staff in the Department of Atmospheric Science since 1994. Over this elongated period, he  lectured several courses which cover different fields e.g. General Meteorology, Fundamentals of Meteorology, Synoptic Meteorology I, Synoptic Meteorology II, Climate, Laboratory Meteorology and others. Held few posts in Department and Faculty:

- Member of the Departmental and Faculty's Study and Examinations Committee from 2003 to 2012.

- Head of the Department of Meteorology from 2012 to 2015.

- Member of the Departmental and Faculty's    ptic Meteorology I,  one of the staff members at the department of 9 faculty of 1. He is working as a since 2003-04-26. He teaches several subjects in his major and has several publications in the field of his interest.

Careers

- Appointed as a demonstrator in the Department of Meteorology (Now Department of Atmospheric Science) in mid of January 1994.

- 2003 promoted to an Assistant Lecturer 

- 2018 promoted to Lecturer 

- 2022 promoted to an Assistant Professor till now. 

Research Interests

- Climate variability in Libya, annual and seasonal Temperature Trends and Precipitation Trends.

- correlation between Libya's different sites temperature variability and North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) and Southern Oscillation Indices (SOI).

External Activities

- Reviewer in the half-annual Journal of the National Center of research, technology and training, 2005.

-  Reviewer in the half-annual Journal of the former University of Nasser (now University of Tripoli - Section. B), 2012.
