abdulhafed Elbelazi is one of the staff members at the department of chemistry, faculty of Science, Tripoli University 1. He has been working at the University of Tripoli as a Professor  since January 12, 2014. He teaches several subjects in his major and has several publications in the field of his interest. He also works as a coordinator for postgraduate studies in analytical chemistry division.

Careers

Professor Elbelazi started he career by joining the Marine Biology Research Center of the University of Tripoli in 1982, then he was appointed to the rank of lecturer in 1996, then he was promoted to the rank of assistant professor, then associated professor, then professor.

Research Interests

My research interests are concerned the chemical pollution in the three natural components, soil, water and air. As well as use and development of spectroscopic techniques in analyzing natural samples of all kinds, also in the field of green chemistry. In addition to also preparing specifications for the environment, waste and the environmental management.   

External Activities

An expert at the National Libyan Center for Standardization and Meteorology  in the field of environmental and waste management.

Scientific consultant in the field of marine chemistry and marine pollution at the Marine Biology Research Center.

Libya representative at the ISO organisation in the field of environmental management.

Libya representative at the ISO organisation in the field of soil quality.
