Roles
Dr. Etorki is now working as a permanent professor in the department teaching general chemistry, theoretical and practical analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, green chemistry, and nanochemistry, as well as Dr. Etorki, works in the research field and has fruitful cooperation with the Department of Chemistry, University of Leicester, England, and the Department of Nanoscience at Purdue University, USA.
Dr. Etorki supervised about 30 master's theses in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli, Zawiya University, the Department of Chemistry, and the Department of Environmental Sciences at the Libyan Academy, as well as Dr. Etorki supervised two doctoral theses as a second supervisor in cooperation with foreign universities in Tunisia and Egypt.
Dr. Etorki attended many specialized scientific conferences at home and abroad, and completed many technical scientific training courses in nanochemistry, green chemistry, and instrumental analysis in the field of nanoscience.Careers
Dr.Etorki graduated with scientific degrees as a demonstrator at the Department of Chemistry in 1995, as the degree of lecturer in 2006, to the degree of assistant professor in 2009, to the degree of associate professor in 2013, and finally the degree as full professor in 2017
Research Interests
Dr. Etorki has published 64 scientific papers in several refereed and sober scientific journals. Dr. Etorki's research area is nanochemistry, nanosensor chemistry, nanoanalytical chemistry, and green chemistry.
External Activities
Dr. Etorki is a member of the following international scientific societies: American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, The Institute of Nanotechnology, The International Society for Electrochemistry, The Electrochemical Society, Association of Analytical Communities, Institute of Nanoscience and Technology, The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, Royal Swedish Society for Chemistry.
Dr.Etorki also heads the chemical analysis unit at the Central Laboratory of the University of Tripoli since 2015 until now, as well as Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Libyan Advanced Laboratory for Chemical Analysis and Head of the European Libya Up Project at the University of Tripoli, as well as Dr. Etorki, worked as an arbitrator member in many refereed scientific journals and as an evaluator of many promotions for faculty members in Libyan universities. Dr. Etorki received a Fullbright scholarship from the US government, which was in the field of nanoanalysis in advanced nanomaterials, as well as a student supervising him winning first place in the Libya Award for Innovation in Chemical Sciences in 2021.
