Mr. Gannud is one of the faculty members in the Computer science Department, College of Science. He has been working at the University of Tripoli as a faculty member and lecturer in the Computer Science Department since 2012. He has held various tasks since his teaching career in the department since 1992. He currently works as Head of the Computer Science Department at the College of Science.

Careers

After obtaining his university degree, Mr. Gannud worked as a systems analyst at VIBA Oil Operations Company, Tripoli, Libya (1989-1992) and the first official in the exploration department in how to use seismic software and IES exploration applications that run on SUN workstations from GeoQuest System. Inc

He worked as a teaching assistant in the Computer Science Department, Faculty of Science, and obtained a master’s degree from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, Ireland, in 2006.

He held positions during his educational career, where he worked as Head of the Study and Examinations Department, College of Information Technology, University of Tripoli (2008-2011), and also held the position of Head of the Computer Science Department, College of Science (2011-2014). He also participated in several educational committees and participated in the learning process as a coordinator of the computer subject in the introductory (applied) stage.

He currently holds the position of Head of the Computer Science Department at the College of Science, University of Tripoli

External Activities

Some contributions include writing the technical part of the Jamahiriya report on the elementary education submitted to UNESCO by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research and also participated in the workshop on the report.

Participation in a project to develop computer education curricula for public education affiliated with one of the state institutions

He participated as a  member of the Center for Quality and Performance Evaluation in the institutional accreditation of some university colleges in Libya
